## Beamer Bibliography New Block Undefined Symbol

This question already has an answer here:

This is the first time I try to use Bibtex for my thesis and I am quite desperate because I cannot get it running. Despite the many post about the undefined references error in this forum, I still am not able to solve this matter.

I have created a very simple .bib and .tex file:

The .tex file:

The.bib file:

Both files are located in the same folder and I run my mainfile multiple time. I use TexMaker combined with MikTeX2.9.

There is no error but the simple warning sequence:

LaTeX Warning: Citation testcite' on page 1 undefined on input line 10 LaTeX Warning: There were undefined references.

I assume the error occurs somewhere in my TexMaker settings. Could you please help me?

## There were undefined references

This error appears when is used and LaTeX is unable to find the corresponding label. There are three ways in which this can happen.

• There is a typo in
• There is a typo in
• A label has been forgotten.

An example is shown below

Each of these will generate an error which looks like

To avoid this, we must always make sure that when we use , that there is a corresponding , and that the arguments of and are the same.

\section{introduction}\label{introduction} A typo when referencing the introduction would be \ref{intorduction}.   Another error is referencing a label which has never been defined such as \ref{section1}

main.tex, line 6

Reference intorduction' on page 1 undefined on input line 6.

main.tex, line 6

Reference `section1' on page 1 undefined on input line 8.
